About the picture: I found this picture in the November 2009 issue of the Atlantic magazine. It made a profound impression on me when I first saw it. It represents for me the choices (if you can call them that) that TIs (targeted individuals) have when they realize they have been impacted by a phenomenon known as Gangstalking and Workplace/Community Mobbing. Every aspect of life that we hold dear results in the choices shown in this picture. There is virtually no way to escape the invasion to life and privacy that constant stalking and monitoring impose. For me it says, "Come, have a seat, rest a while, but beware what each choice of seating represents." This is what life has become for so many TIs. Our choices(?) are very limited. They must be made within the realm and scope of what 'others' prescribe for us. If we make a search for better more 'comfortable' seating, our efforts are blocked and manipulated for us, no matter how hard we try or how hard we work. If we refuse to associate with the 'right' (wrong for us) people, if we stand out from the madding crowd, if we go our own (and usually more ethical and moral) way of life, these are the choices held out to us--we (TIs) are considered to be outside the now prevailing narrow view of life simply for having our own thoughts, higher morals, and more ethical view of life and people. We are people who would never think to invade another person's space like this, would never associate with people who would do something like this to another person. The very thought repels us; yet there are people who find nothing wrong with imposing their power on others to the point that every aspect of a person's life is fodder for gossip, comment, innuendo and lies. I have actually 'sat' in my 'chair' at work (like in this picture) and have been forced to listen to people speculating about me, my life, my childrens' lives, why we've made the choices we've made, how revolting and stupid people think I and my children are, how I dress and look, what jobs I have held in the past and why I have lost every one of them due to this badgering and, yes, been told in what is known as 'directed conversation' that I would never be able to hold another job again when they get done with me because of their gossip.

Is this torture or just mean-spiritedness? You decide. But when this is done day in and day out nonstop to the point that everyone in the workplace either wants to hear no more of it and blames YOU for having to listen to it, or others who blatantly take part in the abuse themselves because they fear for their OWN jobs and sanity, think how devastating this can be to not only the people observing this happening, but keep in mind, it's the TI (targeted individual) who is the main victim, and most places of work have no rules or procedures in place to deal with this.

This is not just your usual garden-variety workplace harassment--it's the deconstructing of a person's life and livelihood--their ability to provide for themselves and is the most vicious attack a person can experience.

When you see this happening to someone, others simply MUST not tolerate it, because if it can happen to one person, it can and will be happening to you eventually too. Observers of this activity can put a stop to it simply by refusing to become involved in it. Whether this is a constant test of nerves to see how far a person can be pushed is not known. The perpetrators of these workplace and community scenarios won't tell you what they're up to. And one identifying mark of this kind of activity is being told by these perps that the TI (the victim) is being investigated for some nefarious infraction, that they NEED to be watched, and that the implication is that the TI has done something wrong to merit this treatment--nothing could be further from the truth.

These groups, whether government-inspired or just criminally-inspired, have an agenda, but exactly what it is is not known at present. Some writers and researchers believe that this is a testing period to see how many people will go along with a future government where everyone's activities will be monitored eventually--a fascist form of governance that will control not only everyone's activities but everyone's thoughts as well). Most people experiencing this activity are actually law-abiding citizens who have done nothing wrong in life to merit this criminal and threatening monitoring of their private lives. And most of the people targeted in this way have already made it plain that they want no part of this kind of activity, so they are being rooted out and made an example in front of everyone else as to what the powers-that-be will not tolerate in their future world governance. Free-thinking people who will not be coerced to take part in these kinds of things are a threat to their world view. In the battle between this evil and common decency and personal privacy, each individual on both sides are already being forced to draw their own personal line in the sand. It is said that, in matters of decision-making, where choices can mean life or death, there is danger in sitting on the fence--because Satan owns the fence (and obviously the above-pictured chairs too). Where will you decide to sit?
